Following publication of our article last year "choosing the right valve locking device" it became evident that there is a demand for advice and assistance when it comes to locking valves.
With such a wide range of products on the market, and an equally wide range of costs, choosing the right device can seem daunting.
It all depends on the level of security or integrity required. If you're locking off to prevent accidental or inadvertant operation, the valve locking device is relatively low-cost.
If however, you must ensure critical valves cannot be tampered with, or sequential control of several valves is maintained, then a valve interlock is required. Naturally, a device which meets these requirements is going to be higher cost.
